Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
When you enter a name or case number into a search tool on the site, the query is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the query and returns its results. Amite County Court Docket does not keep or log the search terms you enter.
Messages and Contact Submissions
If you contact us by email, we retain the message so that we can respond. The message remains within our organization and is not shared outside it unless a legal obligation requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page is loaded, our servers may receive technical information about the visit, including:
- The IP address assigned to the device
- The browser and browser version in use
- The device type and operating system
- Pages visited and the time spent on each page
- The referring site, when one is available
- The date and time of each page view
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device that help us understand site use, including page traffic and where visitors leave the site. Analytics services aggregate that activity. Browser settings can be used to block cookies, although some site functions may then work differently.
What We Do With This Data
- Operate the site and support reliable page loading
- Route a submitted query to the applicable partner service
- Assess which pages are useful and which may need improvement
- Find and address technical problems
- Display advertising that may relate to visitor interests
No Court-Record Data on File
Amite County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case-record information. It provides general information about where Amite County records are held and how to contact the court or clerk. The Mississippi Public Records Act, Miss. Code §§25-61-1 through 25-61-19 and §25-61-5, is a public-record access framework, but court-record inspection also follows judiciary rules, statutes, and court orders. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and we do not assemble visitor information into consumer reports or third-party records.
Third-Party Search Partners
Search widgets on the site are operated by third parties. Information entered into one of those tools is handled under the partner's privacy policy rather than this policy. Partners control their own retention and sharing practices, which we do not direct. Review the partner's policy before submitting a query.
Links to Other Websites
The site links to clerk offices, court portals, statewide case-access systems, legal-aid resources, and third-party search tools. Leaving through one of those links places the visit under the other site's privacy practices. For example, PAMEC is paid remote public access for participating Circuit and Chancery electronic cases, not an all-court search, and it has its own terms and privacy practices. Review the outside site's policy before providing personal information.
Some advertising partners may track activity across sites in order to provide targeted advertising. That activity occurs on their systems, not ours.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal information. Information may be received by:
- Search partners that process a query submitted through the site
- Analytics services used to measure traffic and performance
- Advertising networks that serve ads on site pages
- Law-enforcement or government entities when required by a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
We use standard security practices to protect the information we collect. Internet-connected services cannot be made entirely risk-free, however, and we cannot guarantee that a security incident will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from people under 18. If you believe that a minor has provided information to us, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your Data Rights
Applicable privacy and consumer-protection law may provide additional rights depending on where you live. The Mississippi Public Records Act governs access to qualifying public records, not this private site's visitor-data practices. At a minimum, you may:
- Ask for a copy of information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
- Request deletion of your information
- Opt out of certain data-processing activities
Updates to This Policy
We may revise this privacy policy in the future. A revised policy takes effect when it is posted here with an updated effective date. Review this page periodically if you want to follow changes in our data practices.
Effective date: August 28, 2026
